VeraFuel ("we", "the app") is built and operated by Simon Northcott. This policy explains what data VeraFuel collects, why, and how it's handled.
VeraFuel records the food, training, sleep, and body data you choose to log — meals, macros and micronutrients, workouts, sleep hours, weight and body composition, and progress photos if you add them. We also store your email or account key if you create an account to sync your data across devices.
Solely to calculate your nutrition targets, show your trends, and power the coaching features you use inside the app. We don't collect anything beyond what the app's features need.
Your data is stored securely via Supabase (our backend provider) and associated only with your device or account key — never linked to other users' data. If you don't create an account, your data stays on your device.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. If you use "Share with my coach," your coach sees only what that feature explicitly shows (food, workouts, weight) for as long as you keep the connection active — you can revoke it at any time, instantly.
Barcode lookups use Open Food Facts, a public food database — no personal data is sent with a lookup, only the scanned barcode.
You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings. Account deletion removes your data from our servers.
VeraFuel is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16.
